The University devotes considerable efforts and resources to the development of an outstanding library collection to meet the ever increasing needs of teaching and research. The Central Library has more than 60,000 volumes, consisting of textbooks, reference books, research and extension publications and many more publications including scientific journals and magazines, both Indian and foreign. In addition, the Library has a large collection of e- resources and audio- video devices, etc. The Library collections cover all the disciplines on which teaching, research, extension and education work in related issues is being carried on in the university.
To make students aware of up-to-date information, popular newspapers of different languages are provided in the news section of the Library. A separate periodical section is maintained in the Library while the late are provided in the news section of the Library. Popular and informative magazines are available at circulation desk. The Library has special service for the economically weaker section of the students by providing book bank facilities. The facilities of the Library are available to all faculty members, student and staff of the University.
The University Library provides a conducive environment to readers with a large and comfortable reading hall. In addition to University Library, each school has its own library and also most of the departments in the schools have their departmental libraries.
